“ We had a great time at Eckert's around Halloween! The store is adorable and filled with stuff you didn't even know you needed! We first went out on the field to pick apples and pumpkins. While the apples were ok, there were a lot of rotted apples on the trees and the ground. I know they can't help it, but it was gross. I did not feel confident that the apples we were able to get were in great condition, (all but one rotted within 3 days at home) The pumpkins were a bit better - we found an interesting little pumpkin and couldn't believe no one had claimed it yet! We snagged it and got back on the wagon. The restaurant was good. The server was nice and the food was good. We had a bit of a wait, but the server had a lot of tables and she hustled. We also had some apple cider donuts on the way out of Eckert's - YUM! We will return! This is the Eckert's you want to go to if you're looking for the whole experience! ”

“ Great southern country food. Sweet server to handle our 22 person group on a Sunday lunch. Family spot or date spot. Love coming here every year n for seasonal events. Gift shop store is amazing too with unique and fresh food n stuff. ”

“ A friend and I came on Friday evening prior to our 5k walk that following morning. Our service was excellent. Young guy, very well mannered and he made sure we had everything we requested. There was no wait time. We proceeded to the cider shed for a cozy time with holiday drinks. We tried a slice of their Dutch apple pie and hot cider with pecan whisky. ( great paring). The live music was great and we enjoyed sitting by the fire place to end off the night! ”

“ We went to Eckert's for pumpkin picking and enjoyed the experience. The store outside had pre-picked pumpkins to buy, or you could pay $8 per person, kids under 2 free and ride a tractor to get pumpkins out on the farm or pick apples. We found the pumpkins picked over and many rotten by now out in the field, but managed to find one prize pumpkin that my kids liked better than those at the store. The cider house had live music as they celebrated Oktoberfest and there was lot of covered seating. We paid about 0.79 cents per LB for the pumpkins but they did have a max of your pumpkin was ginormous like my daughter! :) We bought some light eats after and sat under the cover by the cider house stage and listened to music. Don't forget to buy some fresh doughnuts to take home and apples in the store! Worth a visit if you have never been. *follow up post pumpkin carving* - our pumpkins ended up being rotten when we waited to carve them the night before Halloween. We still were able to use them but they were smelly and rotting and the one we got at the patch was especially bad. Next time we will go for the experience (which I still recommend), but skip buying pumpkins and opt for those at the grocery store ”

“ Had such a fun time at Eckert's in Belleville with little man... He loved seeing the animals, but he is a bit to little yet to ride those god awful rides(thank goodness) It was to muddy to go out in the Apple patch so he picked out a pumpkin instead!!! The Bakery at Eckert's is Top Notch!! I could wander around all day!! They have a wonderful meat counter!! The Apples are very expensive considering they are grown right there but I guess it's the experience!! Highly recommend the Cider Shed or the Country restaurant to grab some food!!! Don't pass up the Awesome Cider Donuts that are available now!!! Service is top and it's so cute!!!! ”

“ Cider fest 24' was great. Great sales at the market, wine tasting are available here as well. Meats, bakery, home store, seafood, popcorn all available. Plenty of sauces and jams etc. Wines and ciders are delicious. Pricing ranges but I'm sure you will find something for your budget. Well lit , open floor plan. Plenty to see. Crowded but definitely can maneuver . Staff very friendly and in store coupons are available. Here's a tip , if you check in you receive a free slice of pie . ”

“ On arrival to Eckert's you'll find ample and free parking in close proximity to the complex of buildings. Eckert's has done a great job with their clear descriptive signage for their various areas (all visible from the parking lot) which makes navigating to your desired activity, very easy! The "You pick it" program is free for 2 years old and under, but everyone else is $7 per person for entry and it includes a tractor ride to and from the field/orchard. One thing I didn't know on our first visit last fall for apples, is that you're allowed, even encourage by staff to freely eat at the field site, as you pick your fruits to take home in disposable containers provided on site! Today we picked strawberries and black raspberries. While we picked and packed 2 containers full, we easily each ate a containers worth right from the vines! The kids just loved it... I had to literally stop my 2 & 4 year olds for fear they'd get sick! The employees were very polite, friendly and seemed to really enjoy their job. Payment is made for what you've packaged back at the complex after exiting the tractor ride. Tip: while admission to "you pick" is $7, there is no obligation to actually pack and buy fruits to leave the field with. If you're just going for a good time, $7 gets you a belly full of fruit and a round trip tractor ride! Eckert's green house, gift shop and outdoor pavilion is modern and enjoyable as well. While we have not been in their restaurant yet, I have heard only good things about it.... Maybe next time. This is a really good experience for families. Highly recommended, especially the. "You Pick" experience. The only thing I did not appreciate is Eckert's display encouraging sexual depravity at their donut window, but it was not a widespread theme throughout the complex. ”

“ We decided on dinner after a stop at the market for a Dutch apple pie. A couple of years ago we had the family style fried chicken dinner and it was lacking in size of chicken pieces along with all the sides were out of a can (corn and green beans). That was not the case this time. The fried chicken was hot and juicy, terrific flavor and crust, our sides of mashed potatoes and fried okra were both delicious also. “ This is the Farmer's Market to beat all markets! You can get everything here and stop for lunch or a sweet treats to boot! I was floored but all the amazing products -- from pies, veggies, meat, to souvenirs and home goods. There's even a huge wine section with a variety of sweet wines!!!I I chose the local peach wine! There's 2 different dining experiences -- The Cider Shed and a full service sit down restaurant/pie shop! There's also plenty of outside dining and congregational spaces. It looked like they might even have live entertainment sometimes -- there's a big stage in the biggest outdoor area! According to local family members, you can pick apples in the orchards in the fall and every fresh product is made from resources grown on the adjacent farm! If you're into "farm to table" fresh, this is as good as it gets! The staff are all very friendly and eager to help you have a great experience. People smiled and talked about themselves as if they were old friends and neighbors. Best of all, nobody harassed me about my service dog. One parent stopped to give her young son a wonderful explanation of why he couldn't pet the dogs that are vested. I stood still so she could teach her young son this life skill. When she finished, I thanked her for being a fabulous parent! The young boy waved goodbye -- walking away with his loving mom and a new understanding about a special kind of dog. No tears. No yelling. No threats that dog might bite (which he's trained to not do). No awkward refusal from a stranger! Fabulous job, Mom! If you have a quiet day to spare, check out Eckert's Farmstand/Restaurants. We went on a Friday to avoid the Saturday crowds per the advice of local family members. Take a big enough vehicle and enjoy!!! ”
